The fifth annual Cosplay Day Out will be held on Saturday,
February
27, 2010.
It will be located at
Hilton C.
Schott Park in Humble, Texas from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. It is
free to attend. All you need to bring is your person, a sack
lunch, and something to sit on if you wish to sit on the lawn.
Costumes are encouraged, but not required. As in the past, there
will be drinks for sale on site.
Registration is up! We would like for all guests
planning to attend to register online. It does not cost you
anything to register. It simply makes it easier for us to do a
head count. And hey, it makes you eligible for some awesome door
prizes!
I would like to thank everyone who came out for this past
year's event. The
turnout was better than I expected, even though some people had
to leave early or arrive late. I am grateful to everyone who
helped to make this happen, and look forward to next year.
There is a place to leave feedback about the event. Let me
know what you thought of the picnic. I want to hear it all. That
way, we will better know what to change and improve next time.
Cosplay Day Out is a cosplay picnic event held every
year in March. (Well, usually in March...) It began in 2006 and has grown significantly since then.
Cosplay Day Out is an independently owned venture. We do not belong
to, nor are we directly affiliated with, any one anime convention. Because Cosplay Day Out is a free event, we depend on the generosity
of sponsors to cover most of our costs. Since the beginning we have been
fortunate enough to have the backing of
FUNimation, which has provided
us with prizes and giveaways. This year we have the support of KamiKaze
Con. Cosplayer Lillyxandra of Firefly-Path.net has also been a
driving force in helping us spread the word. We are
extremely grateful to the individuals who wish to help us
succeed. If you are interested in contributing, use the
contact form to reach us or donate through the link to the left. |
