The seventh annual Cosplay Day Out will held on
April 21, 2012 from 10 a.m. to dark.
This year's picnic will be held at
Hilton C.
Schott Park in Humble, TX. There will be games, contests,
and photos galore! Register
before the picnic to get a keepsake badge and for a chance to
win door prizes!
Oh! And for anyone curious - final head count last year was
about 115 attendees! :D
Cosplay Day Out was established in 2006, and has grown
significantly since then. It is a cosplay picnic event held
every year in the spring. It is always
free to attend. All the guests are suggested to bring is their
person, a sack lunch, and something to sit on if they wish to
sit on the lawn. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
Usually, there are drinks for sale on site.
Cosplay Day Out is an independently owned venture. We do
not belong to, nor are we directly affiliated with, any one
anime convention. Because Cosplay Day Out is a free event,
we depend on the generosity of sponsors to cover most of our
costs. Since the beginning we have been fortunate enough to have
the backing of
FUNimation, which has
provided us with prizes and giveaways. This year we have the
support of several conventions, as well as the great people at
Epic Cosplay Wigs.
Costume designer and Cosplayer Lillyxandra of
Firefly-Path.net has also been a driving force in helping us
spread the word. We are extremely grateful to the individuals

We would like for all guests planning to attend to register
online. It does not cost anything to register. It simply makes
it easier for us to do a head count. And hey, it makes you

CDO 2011 Feedback
I would like to thank everyone who came out for last
year's event. The turnout was better than I had expected, even
though some people had to leave early or arrive late. I am
grateful to everyone who helped to make this happen, and am
looking forward to this year.
I got a lot of great feedback about last year's picnic, and
hope that we can use that information in planning for this year.
