The purpose of Cosplay Day Out has always been to bring together cosplayers and people with like interests in a safe and welcoming environment. In light of recent happenings and the CDC recommendation to not gather in large groups, we have chosen to not hold the picnic at the park this year. However, we look forward to this event every year and we know that others do as well, so we are NOT cancelling the event! Times are tough right now and people need something to look forward to. So after much discussion, we have decided to do things a little different - Cosplay Day Out 2020 is going digital! Join us on our Twitch stream on April 11 for Cosplay Day In! We will be hosting cosplay panels, playing games, hanging out, and having fun! And yes, there will be a cosplay contest! Details will be released over the coming weeks as things are finalized and the stream location and start time will be announced the week before the event.
Cosplay Day Out is an independently owned venture. We do not belong to, nor are we directly affiliated with, any anime convention.
Because Cosplay Day Out is a free event, we depend on the generosity of sponsors to cover most of our costs. Over the years, we have been fortunate enough to have the backing of great companies like FUNimation, Firefly Path, and Epic Cosplay Wigs, as well as several conventions. We rely on this support to provide a quality event and are extremely grateful to the individuals who wish to help us succeed. If you are interested in contributing to the Cosplay Day Out events, use the contact form to reach us or donate. All donations go directly to the costs of running the events.
Cosplay Day Out
Cosplay Day Out was established in 2006, and has grown significantly since then. It is a cosplay picnic event held every year in the spring. It is always free to attend. All the guests are suggested to bring is their person, a sack lunch, and something to sit on if they wish to sit on the lawn. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. There are drinks and snacks for sale on site. Proceeds go to the funding of the Cosplay Day Out event.
